Do You See What I See? (John 9:35-41)

Sermon Text: John 9:35-41.


Main Idea: Jesus demonstrates His task as Savior by finding the formerly blind man and saving him. In the process, Jesus redefines what it means to truly see and the consequences of remaining spiritually blind and arrogant.

We see three main things:

1. The Savior's Task: The process of Jesus finding the formerly blind man and calling him to believe reminds us of Jesus' purpose.

2. Spiritual Sight's Results: When the Lord opens our eyes and we truly see spiritually, we believe and worship.

3. Spiritual Blindness' Consequences: The arrogance of the Pharisees reveals that they are blinded by their sins. The consequence of this is that their guilt remains and they will face judgment.

Application: We should humble ourselves before our Savior and worship Him while proclaiming sight to the spiritually blind.
