I still haven’t figured out how to prioritize properly, but I know I need to learn to do it if I’m to reach my destination.
Here’s one thing I’ve learned that can help though…
Put everything on a scale.
The most ‘important things’ should be number one. For example, your job or main hustle because it helps you keep a roof over your head.
Do the same thing for everything else you want to spend your time on.
Then, block out time on your calendar for each thing in the order of priorities you’ve set.
Your number one thing may require 40 hours a week and your number 20 thing may require 1 day a year.
The good thing about this method is you don’t have to feel like you’re ‘abandoning’ anything.
And of cours, if it takes a year to finally do that last thing on your list, you’d have had enough time to decide whether you even want it on your list at all.
