The answer to the title should be yes, you do value yourself. But most people and places don’t value us. We give all to our jobs that we work yet in return we get a salary and Most of us get over worked. To the companies we work for they see us as a position to accomplish tasks. We see ourselves as skillful and passionate people. So we do value ourselves in an environment that doesn’t value us. Therefore this relationship is toxic and benefits the others and not us. As we provide our service to a company or to community the only way we get value back is the way we realize that we are valued. The value that we get must include growth respect and understanding. If there is no value return to us from whoever we are serving then we must realize that we are hurting ourselves more as the other is abusing us. We must stop being a slave to the salary and strive for our own success.
