Come join us this week as we discuss why God proclaimed the non-biblical creeds to be abominations in His sight.  We will also discuss the Doctrine and Covenants role as the Third Testament of Jesus Christ thus fulfilling the biblical law that "in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established" (2 Corinthians 13:1).  We discuss how the Bible is one witness and as a result does not even fulfill the law of God for establishing God's word.  Therefore, it was absolutely necessary for God to bring forth to the world the Book of Mormon which is another testament of Jesus Christ or the Second Testament.  The Doctrine and Covenants is the Third Testament of Jesus Christ fulfilling God's own biblical law of having 3 witnesses to establish His word.    

We then discuss the fact that the Doctrine and Covenants is therefore the Second Testament that Joseph Smith was God's Prophet.  The Book of Mormon was the 1st Testament of this fact, the Doctrine and Covenants is the Second Testament of that fact, and the Pearl of Great Price is the Third Testament of God having called and appointed Joseph Smith to be His Prophet.  Once again fulfilling His own law of establishing the truth through the "mouth of two or three witnesses."

Our instructor will be Dr. D. Todd Harrison.  Dr. Harrison has an extensive educational background which includes a Bachelor, Master, and two doctoral degrees in Biblical Studies and Theology.  Additionally, he holds a Master of Public Administration degree, and has done doctoral degree work in counseling, business administration, and in educational administration.  A life long Christian and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dr. Harrison has held many leadership positions.  He is a direct descendant of apostles Franklin D. Richards, George F. Richards, and LeGrand Richards.
