As black men and women we are eager to go to college to accomplish a goal that has been placed on us for decades. We have stayed in the tradition of going to college right after high school. But are we going to college because that is something that we want to do or are we going to college because of the tradition that has already been in place generation after generation? These are the questions that we have to constantly ask ourselves. Does a degree help you obtain the career or job that you are applying to or are companies wishing that you had the experience instead?
