Do you ever feel like no one understands you? Maybe something has happened to you and you just feel that no one else gets it, no one is there to support you. Hagar felt a bit like that. She had been badly treated and ended up pregnant. She felt no one understood, like everyone despised her and so she ran away. She didn’t know where she was going, and she found herself sitting by a well. I guess she was about as low as you can get. And that is when God met her and called her by name. She thought no one understood, but amazingly, even though no one around her understood, God had seen it all, God had heard. He gave her hope. Sarai thought maybe God needed a bit of help to fulfil His promise to Abram, she wondered if she could really trust God to do what he said.
