We often hear comments like, “since God is loving, He would never allow His children to suffer in hell.” That's correct. His children, or His people,  are not suffering in hell. The people going to hell are also not his children. Everyone is God’s creation, but not everyone is God’s child.

It's true that God created all people, but that does not make God their Father. If someone refuses to repent and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they are not one of His people. In fact, John 8:44 says in regard to these people "for you are the children of your father the devil."
