"Our family experience is the most important experience of our lives," says Dr. Armand Nicholi, Jr., "and on the negative side, the breakdown of the family contributes significantly to the major problems confronting society today." 

Eschewing the family as a political talking point, Dr. Nicholi discusses his research on the effects of inaccessible or absent parents on children at a Marketplace Forum Network event in Boston. In the talk, he also provides practical guidelines for developing a stable and secure family environment. 

Dr. Nicholi is well known for his book, The Question of God: C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud Debate God, Love, Sex, and the Meaning of Life.
