It’s important to distinguish between what you mean by coaching certifications.
Let’s start with Agile coaching certifications.
The answer is yes, the Agile Coach Academy will absolutely help you to achieve Agile coaching certifications such as the Scrum Alliance’s Certified Team Coach and Certified Enterprise Agile Coach certifications.
Both certifications are an application process where you need to validate your skills and demonstrate capabilities as an Agile coach at either the team or the enterprise level.
The Agile Coach Academy will help develop your skills, capabilities and competence as an Agile coach and will also help you with the application process. As you work through the questions in the application process, we will discuss those answers with you on a one-to-one and group basis.
In addition to helping you discover the right answers, we are going to help you develop your line of reasoning and explore the thinking behind the answers you are providing. In some cases, you will be able to raise elements within the group and receive group feedback on what may best serve you.
I am a Certified Team Coach as well as a Certified Enterprise Coach. I also play an active role in helping the Scrum Alliance grade new coaches and review their applications so I will be able to provide you with insights into what the Scrum Alliance is actively looking for in an Agile coach.
An Agile coach is expected to coach, teach, and mentor teams. A coach is not. Therein lies the difference between the two.
As a certified coach, you would simply be coaching others and helping them to discover and explore the best opportunities available to them.
As an Agile coach, you would be able to provide insights, teaching and mentoring to help your coachees overcome the challenges they face and explore new opportunities for growth and self-development.
When it comes to the IC Agile coaching certifications, the Agile Coach Academy would also be able to help you embed the knowledge you gain from those courses and provide you with a platform to actively practice what you have learned from both a coaching and a facilitation perspective.
When it comes to the International Coaching Federation certifications, the Agile Coach Academy would also be able to help you with your coaching skills development and provide you with a platform to actively practice what you are learning in those certification programmes.
