God want us to be happy on His terms, not the worlds terms. Paul tells us that the flesh and the spirit are in conflict (Galatians 5:17). God's focus is the spirit. Those that belong to Christ crucify the flesh (Galatians 5:24). the challenge today is that modern people think that the purpose of life is to seek recreation and entertainment. Yet, Jesus tells us that the purpose of life is to take up our cross and follow Him. To present our bodies a sacrifice (Matthew 10:28). Satan has played a good game and many are blindly following the broad road to destruction, deluded, thinking they are on their way to heaven.
