During the pandemic, dogs and other animals were used to cope with loneliness and isolation. Once the pandemic ended, these animals were thrown into shelters, at least by American shelter reports, and largely forgotten. If you do not have the time, resources or heart to take care of another living creature, then please, do NOT go out and buy one. These animals have feelings, just like you or I and they deserve to be loved and protected just the same.
