Dogs vs. Cats is the story of an uncommon friendship between a dog and a cat. But what happens when the cat is invited to live inside a nice, warm house, while the dog must still live outside?
Here are some ways to engage students using this story:
1.Guide students to imagine and draw something from the story, cut it into a puzzle, exchange it with their friends, and try to solve each other’s puzzles.
2.Ask students to make facial expressions, and have other students guess their feelings (e.g., jealous, sad, happy, etc.).
3.Encourage students to create an alternative ending to the story that is happy or funny.
