Yesterday we talked about creating the Minimum Viable Content for your brand. What’s the exact amount of content you need to generate more conversations with your target Market?
There are three key questions you can ask about any piece of content to see if it fits in your Minimum Viable Content:
The first question, has this content or type of content created more conversations with a current or prospective client? This includes comments or shares on social media, in-person conversations, or follow-up emails after sharing this content.
The second question, has this content or type of content generated any sales for my business? This is the easiest question to answer, but you need to ask this question only of content that’s been out in the world for at least six months.
And the third question, does this type of content seem to be worth the trouble of producing it? This may be the most nebulous question to ask, but you already know if creating this type of content creates more joy or more stress.
If the answer is “Yes!” to any of these three questions, keep that piece of content. If the answer is “No!” to all three questions, then it’s probably best to eliminate that content from your content strategy.
This audit can free up more of your time to focus on what’s actually getting you results with your Message.
