Isaiah 58:1-14

Call to Worship: Psalm 33:1-5 (NIV)

1      Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;              it is fitting for the upright to praise him.2     Praise the Lord with the harp;              make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.3     Sing to him a new song;              play skillfully, and shout for joy.4     For the word of the Lord is right and true;              he is faithful in all he does.5     The Lord loves righteousness and justice;              the earth is full of his unfailing love.

Women: Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob,whose hope is in the Lord their God.Men: He is the Maker of heaven and earth,the sea, and everything in them—he remains faithful forever.Women: He upholds the cause of the oppressedand gives food to the hungry.Men: The Lord sets prisoners free,the Lord gives sight to the blind.Women: The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous. Men: The Lord watches over the foreigner  and sustains the fatherless and the widow,  but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.Women: The Lord reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations.All:  Praise the Lord!
