Curious about Being Black? GG Kenney shares authentically about her life and understanding of Self and the world around her as a Black female. Having been born in Japan and lived there for 4 years, then spending a portion of her life in the Philippines, after which she lived in 17 other cities across 3 separate countries, GG's foundation is of a broad cultural life experience. Her MBA at Purdue University, BA in Economics from Northwestern University and a Digital Marketing Certificate from MSU, have kept her in connection with higher education; ultimately her mix of education and life experience has illuminated many of the 5 Black elite social clubs she maintains membership of in which two have been at the national executive level.  It should be mentioned she has been married for 35 years and deeply loves and cares for her husband Scott. Healthcare is a vital part of their life as Scott lives with Multiple Sclerosis and with this added life experience, GG lives making love visible out loud in her life in all ways.

It all began with Steff!  In her own words... "Bottomline, long time ago I was doing some research about women associations and “voilà”, there was actually one that interested me and gave a free workbook, but I didn't sign up to be a member, I was cheap! Then the promotional emails came and the one I found intriguing was the one that was looking for people to contribute to a book. I thought this "collaborative model" was ideal for me because I didn't think I had the "guts" to do it myself. The Women Speakers Association does it all for authors and I just needed to write story . I was on my way... Then approaching the deadline, they were looking for 3 more women, and that's when I thought of Paulette because of her Toastmasters speech on domestic abuse. She jumped on the wagon and before we knew it, we became 2 of 40 women in this book.

Steff is a retired government worker after 30 years. Paulette has retired 3 times as a nurse, army officer and a professor in nursing at the University of Hawaii. Their words in their book are powerful. Have a listen to the podcast. You may decide you are the next writer!

Allison is the current Miss Hawaii USA 2021 and Miss Hawaii America 2016. She is an aspiring dermatologist and advocate or her platform #SafeInTheSunHawaii. While she is a professional model, she is a trained opera singer and has been at her craft since she was 5. Because Allison's reign has occurred during the COVID pandemic she has experienced a different way to serve and vibrant in her youth she continues to create the best world she envisions for all. Allison is also surfer so look out for her and June on the waves off Waikiki
