DOMAP #5 - NYPA
NYPA are a post-punk, krautrock group formed last academic year. After months of improvisational sessions, Samuel Osman, Andrews Anderson, Dylan Wright, Mussa Ahmad, Tom Hutchinson and Xavier Crean recently recorded and released their debut EP “Mzungu Kizungu” at Rocking Horse Studios in Durham. Underpinned by repetitive, machine-like funk grooves, the band explores an eclectic range of political, social, and emotional themes.
In this episode of the DOMAP, Alumni Relations Officer George Bone and President Taylor Morse talk to NYPA about, among other things: their energetic stage presence, their diverse musical backgrounds, and the facebook post that brought them all together!
