NYPA are a post-punk, krautrock group formed last academic year. After months of improvisational sessions, Samuel Osman, Andrews Anderson, Dylan Wright, Mussa Ahmad, Tom Hutchinson and Xavier Crean recently recorded and released their debut EP “Mzungu Kizungu” at Rocking Horse Studios in Durham. Underpinned by repetitive, machine-like funk grooves, the band explores an eclectic range of political, social, and emotional themes.
