Domestic abuse and domestic violence it not a one size fits all and no one is immune to falling into this situation. It does not have to be physically harmful to be just as devastating to your mental health and wellbeing.

I'm eternally grateful that the DeKalb County District Attorney allowed one of their own to speak with us on Skirts Up about the warning signs, safety precautions, and tips on supporting a friend. I dare say, the most impactful part of this whole episode is when the investigator shares her own run with domestic violence despite her profession. Sharing that story literally saved a life in the most unexpected way and that is exactly why we continue to do what we do.
