DMV Spotlight on 10-19-2025 shines a light on Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Montgomery County State’s Attorney, John McCarthy highlights local resources for domestic violence survivors to get help including the Family Justice Center in Rockville, MD, home to over 40 non profits, including the House of Ruth, that are dedicated to providing wrap-around services for women and their children (and sometimes men) to get the assistance they need.
McCarthy also notes the education programs that begin in high school with violence as a part of one of three dating relationships. McCarthy’s office also offering QR codes at Metro stations in the county for October for survivors to get resources.
