Author Irish Jean Benton has written four books to inspire and encourage those who have endured domestic violence and abusive relationships by sharing her own story. She has gone on to win the 2018 Queen City Award for Author of the Year with her bestseller "Breaking His Silence" and in 2019 won a Community Service Award from the Gospel Image Awards for her outstanding service to victims and survivors of domestic violence.
