When preaching was the media, kings and princes fought for control of the media, and the pulpit had the power to steer the nation. Times have changed, and the church has not. It has absolutised the form of preaching, whilst making relative the Church’s mission in the world, the effective proclamation of God’s truth in every area of life to the world.
