This week on LIVING IT LOUD: "Big Daddy" Don Garlits is an American race car driver and engineer, and a revered figure in drag racing. Born in Tampa, Florida in 1932, Garlits developed his mechanical skills fixing farm equipment and bikes. He was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame as an inaugural member and is considered the godfather of drag racing. Garlits is an NHRA World Champion from 1975, 1985, and 1986, and is known for his technical innovations in the sport.
