Sometimes you meet/interview someone you look up to and are left disenchanted. And sometimes they exceed expectations, as Don Taylor of Donnie and Dhali (CHEK) did for Marty Hastings of Kamloops Last Week on June 29, 2021.

The plug was suddenly pulled on TSN 1040 on Feb. 9, 2021. Co-workers were emotional. There was hugging and tears. Taylor was there for it all. Later that day, he went for a COVID-19 test, which was positive. He believes he was patient zero for an outbreak among the sports-talk station's employees.
