A racist and unhinged Truth Social post from the President targeting two women of color in Congress reveals far more than just bigotry. It exposes a desperate deflection from the real story he wants buried: NPR's investigation revealing that the Department of Justice has withheld and removed Epstein files directly connected to allegations of child sexual abuse by Donald Trump, including FBI interviews with survivors that appear to have been illegally hidden from the public.
The Breakdown
Trump posted a racist attack on Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, calling them lunatics and telling them to go back where they came from, while hiding behind a fully closed schedule at the White House
The post was a direct response to Rashida Tlaib shouting "How about those Epstein files?" during the State of the Union address the night before
NPR's investigation found that the DOJ withheld and removed documents tied to allegations that Trump sexually abused a 13-year-old girl introduced to him by Jeffrey Epstein
A second accuser described being brought to Mar-a-Lago as a minor, where Epstein told Trump "This is a good one, huh," and key FBI interviews with this survivor and her mother were removed or never published
Representative Robert Garcia confirmed after reviewing unredacted evidence logs that the DOJ appears to have illegally withheld FBI interviews with a survivor who accused Trump of crimes against a minor
Harvard announced that former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers will step down from all academic roles after Epstein files revealed closer ties than previously known, showing that accountability is slowly catching up
