Some individuals expressed concern that he might eliminate it, yet I must highlight the absurdity of such fears. Throughout his speech, he relied heavily on written notes, and many of his listeners were not African American but rather a diverse group. I anticipated a discussion on the nation's path forward, including topics like reparations, even if they remain unfulfilled, along with other progressive ideas; however, that conversation did not materialize.
