A Donegal TD has taken issue with a Government Junior Minister expressing concern over the planned crackdown on short-term letting and the damaged it could cause to rural Ireland.
Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn made the comments after Junior Minister, Michael Healy Rae says the moves could do serious damage” adding that the proposals are scapegoating short-term lets and won't solve the housing crisis.
Minister Healy-Rae claimed the policy risks driving tourism out of areas that rely on it.
Speaking to Ocean FM, Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn say the Kerry based minister is running with the hare while hunting with the hound in government for the past year.
