Review: Donkey Kong Bananza is far deeper than I ever anticipated, and it's absolutely one of this year's best games. From the moment I started to the moment I finished, I was laughing and smiling through each sublevel while exploring, and Bananza elevates the 3D platformer to a new high for Nintendo by doubling down on what Super Mario Odyssey does so well while re-introducing one of its best characters in a new game. This is undoubtedly what I wanted from the Switch 2, and Donkey Kong Bananza is a charming, elevated open-world platformer.
