Matriarch Donna Adelson is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy and solicitation in the 2014 murder-for-hire of her former son-in-law, Dan Markel. The Florida State law professor was shot and later died the hospital while dealing with an on-going custody battle with his ex-wife, Wendi Adelson AKA Donna's daughter. Since then--Donna's son, Charle Adelson, has gone on trial and was convicted for his involvement in the murder for hire of Dan Markel. 

Donna Adelson is expected to go on trial this fall after several delays have pushed the original trial date.
