Donna Probin started out like many sidecar enthusiast’s, inthe pits as a kid watching her dad.
At 17 Donna took a leap of faith and asked one of the womenshe had watched race for a shot – and the rest, as we often say, is history. Donna and Lisa raced together for a few years before life took a different path for a while. In a full circle moment Donna has been able to take ownership of thatvery sidecar they was a passenger on in Sydney in the 80’s and early 90’s, restore it and get it back out on track as a rider in Queensland.
We talk the early days or facing, Donna’s return to thetrack, restoring the sidecar that has been such a big part of her life, and the unfortunate closure of Mick Doohan Raceway at the end of 2025.
