Many of us will take limited data and assume we know the truth without taking the time to actually verify it before taking action. This is a mistake because, although oftentimes our assumptions are correct, there will be times when they are not. Despite all that we feel certain we know about a person or a situation, it is best to dig deeper, to ask questions, to open a dialogue, and then when we know, as best we can, what is the truth, only then is it wise to take action. This avoids impulsive, reckless behaviors that can have negative, undesirable consequences.
