Report inappropriateness to legal authorities, insurance companies, and whoever they work for!
Maintain kindness on both ends, anything other than that, shut it down immediately. Switch therapists if you have to or switch clients if you have to.
Be a thriver, not just a survivor. It is more important to be a thriver than a survivor.
When it comes to in-person therapy, strictly and only electronically communicate about appointment scheduling. Any other conversation is unethical, (urgent matters are the only exceptions.)
