The entire reason you would stand before a judge is because you had most likely committed a crime. That crime must be dealt with correctly and righteously which is why justice exists. How could we justify ourselves with good deeds if the God of the universe cannot be bribed and only takes perfection, because He is the definition of perfection. This is why it is pointless in this scenario to try to be a good person; God bless.
