Do not be deceived—God’s wrath is not a myth, nor a mere theological concept; it is a present reality and a coming certainty. The polluted pulpits of our day have exchanged divine justice for empty words, soothing sinners into a false assurance while suppressing the sobering truth that God’s wrath abides upon the sons of disobedience. Yet the apostle Paul thunders forth in Ephesians 5:6: “Let no one deceive you,” for the consequences of such deception are eternal. Easy believism is a death trap, convincing men they can have Christ without the cross, grace without repentance, and salvation without sanctification. But the true Gospel heralds Christ’s wrath-absorbing substitutionary death. For there, Christ bore the full weight of divine fury that we might be rescued from the judgment to come. The call is ridiculously clear: flee deception, reject false assurances, and cling to Christ alone, for only in Him is the wrath of God satisfied and the saint eternally secure.
