Don’t Climb the Ladder, Build the Ladder

In every facet of life there seems to be a lot of noise, so many places to pay attention, yet very little that really gets noticed. The same is true in your career. Are you trying to fit in and be like everyone else? Or are you willing to be unashamedly you, stick to your values and speak up at what others are apparently not noticing? As the saying goes, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Now, you can’t be making noise for noise sake, but if you are willing to speak up, be heard and recommend improvements, you might find that you haven’t just climbed the ladder, you built one!
