Jonestown is the location of the mass murder-suicide of members of the Peoples temple. Whos leader Jim Jones charismatically convinced hundreds people to kill their children and then themselves. The death toll exceeded 900, including some 300 who were age 17 and under. This was one of the largest mass deaths in American history. Like the say Don't drink the Kool-Aid
