Eden was the garden that housed the presence of God. Because of sin, Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden. And ever since, humanity has longed for that paradise lost. But this whole time what our hearts has longed for is his presence. And Jesus died so his presence would be restored to us. He doesn’t desire to dwell in temples made by human hands. He desires to dwell in us. We are the temple. We are the garden. We are the New Eden. Enter your garden my beloved, taste of its finest fruits (Song of Solomon 4:16)
