The nice part about running Voice Entrepreneur is I get to talk to so many smart, interesting people every single day. But over the last few weeks, a disturbing trend has emerged.

People tell me they expect Amazon will market their voice skill. They think if the voice skill has enough merit, then Amazon will magically make sure the voice skill gets loads of traffic.

Nobody says it in those exact words. But the subtext is always that they are building voice skills for Amazon’s approval. Like Amazon is a warm, but stern mother or father.

So today I wanted to clear the air.
