About Dr. Joshua Rice:
Josh Rice has dedicated his life to one assertion: the last bastion of freethinking, creative truth, and generous living is found in the local church. He has served in full-time pastoral ministry for 20 years as a youth pastor, denominational leader, and senior pastor. Since 2008, Joshua Rice has come alongside Christian organizations for a variety of generosity initiatives. His experience working with Christian nonprofits and schools includes leading national capital campaigns, serving major debt reduction initiatives, creating annual fund strategies, soliciting foundations, and funding the construction of athletic and educational facilities.
He presently serves as Teaching Pastor at Eastside Baptist Church in Atlanta, Instructor of Biblical Studies at Point University (West Point, GA), and Dean of the School of Ministry at Richmont Graduate University (Atlanta). He holds degrees from Lee University (B.A.), Columbia Theological Seminary (M.A.), and the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (Th.M; Ph.D).
Josh is the author of Paul and Patronage: The Dynamics of Power in 1 Corinthians (Pickwick Press, 2013) and the spiritual memoir, The Jewish Centaur: Adventures in Pentecostal Christianity (Cascade Books, 2015), along with numerous published articles.
Josh and his wife, Johnna, have been married for 20 years. They have 2 daughters: Sophia (14) and Evie (12). Josh likes golf, reading like crazy, running, motorcycles, action movies, basketball, history, and dead languages.
