Let’s face it, life is full of hurdles. Just because we follow Jesus doesn’t mean we’re exempt from facing them. In fact, Jesus plainly tells us: “In this world you will have trouble” (John 16:33, NIV). However, the hurdles we face are not too big for Him. As we run the race of life God’s way, He’ll give us strength and wisdom to clear the hurdles in front of us. That’s why Jesus also teaches: “But take heart! I have overcome the world.” In our series, “Clearing Hurdles,” we’ll look at how God wants to empower us to overcome the hurdles we face in life.
