It's Memorial Day! We would like to express our greatest appreciation for those men and women who have dedicated their lives for our freedom. Our deepest gratitude goes to those families who have paid the ultimate price in the loss of their loved ones who died in securing our freedom. Freedom is a precious gift that has been paid for by those who have fought and died in order for us to live in the fulness of that gift. God bless you all!
Over 2000 years ago God's only begotten Son died on the cross that you and I might know the freedom that God had designed for us to know. It was for freedom that Christ died! He warns us that we should not allow our freedom to be taken away by giving our flesh an opportunity to drag us back down into the corruption of sin and selfishness. 
We are a new creation! The old has passed away and behold new things have come. We must take up our cross every day and die to ourselves in order that our flesh will not rob us of the glory as children of God. The spirit and the flesh are in opposition to one another. We cannot overcome the flesh with fleshly efforts. That which is of the flesh is flesh and that which is of the spirit is spirit. It is the spirit that gives life the flesh profits nothing. 
Let's open up the gospel and discover how we can maintain our freedom and not give in to our flesh!
