Mark 4:1-41; Isaiah 6:9, 55:11; Zechariah 4:10
In this chapter, Jesus presents four types of soil: beside the road, rocky ground, thorns, and good soil. Each soil has different growth forms, but the first three don't grow to avoid the world's pressures; only the one sown on good soil bears thirty, sixty, and hundredfold fruit.
If God has allowed you to grow in His word, even a little bit, take heart. He desires you to prosper with Him by applying His word when you feel life will choke you.
I'm experiencing a test right now, but I know that by applying his word of 'perfect calmness,' I can overcome any storm and not be choked by the worries and pressures of this present test. I encourage you today to take heart and apply God's word. Remember, He is with you in every battle. His word has power, and as He said, "It will not return void." Fight your battles with his word.
