“Let’s sing a song!” Remember when you were a child and could blithely make a whimsical proposition in the midst of your carefree days? Can you imagine initiating a song in the midst of grim and dark circumstances now? That’s what Jesus did; Jesus found the courage to sing (Matthew 26:30, Psalm 22:1) as He anticipated and endured the crucifixion. God’s ways are higher than our ways, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal….but mighty…. We want to sing a song after the “resurrection,” but there’s a song to be sung while we bear our “cross.” May we not be ruled by our soul/logic or what we see in the natural, but by the Spirit and Kingdom paradigms--and act accordingly. If Jesus can find it in His heart to sing, we can find a song in the midst of our plights. As we sing to God, our light shall shine, the glory of the Lord shall be seen and the gentiles will be drawn to His light in us. May the church bring a symphony for the world to hear!
