On today’s podcast we’ll discuss the following:

▶ General News: The DoD wants “biodegradable training ammunition loaded with specialized seeds to grow environmentally beneficial plants that eliminate ammunition debris and contaminants.” The Pentagon may soon be unleashing a 21st-century version of locusts on its adversaries. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange offers $30,000 reward to any administration employee who would publicly expose any official disposing of information. A majority of Americans believe Russia was behind election-year hacks.

▶ Economics: Financial writer Bill Holter says 2017 will be “the year of the Truth Bomb.” The U.S. Treasury says that America’s debt grew by another trillion dollars in 2016. Republicans may delay presenting ideas on how to repeal of Obamacare for up to four years. Jay Zagorsky recommends that you “Save some money now. Pay down credit card debt and other loans. Give yourself a financial cushion that will protect you in the event of an economic downturn.”

▶ Global Issues: A few weeks ago, we discussed how the US will begin flying its world-leading F-22 stealth fighters from bases in Australia. Now, the USFK will deploy 24 attack helicopters to South Korea by February. The U.S. Navy’s USS Carl Vinson carrier strike is heading to the Western Pacific. The E-2D Advance Hawkeye airborne early warning and control aircraft will be deployed to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni. In the largest deployment of its kind since at least 1991, units from the 4th Infantry Division, the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade and the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, with 87 M1A1 tanks, 144 Bradley fighting vehicles, artillery and aircraft, are deployed in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria. But yeah… everything is fine.
