Do you ever feel better because you are wearing a new outfit, driving a new car, or have football tickets for your favorite team on the 50-yard line?

Sometimes putting value in the items you have could lead you to the possession lie: “I am what I have.” 

Items can have significant and sentimental value but is it enough for us to relate our value to an object's value? 

It’s common to fall for the possession lie, and you may have found yourself there before.
