Emily shares her Graduation (retirement) ceremony held on May 14th, 2019. Emily retired after serving 38 years with the United States Navy. Some of her service was as a Naval Officer and some as a civilian. She retired as a member of the Senior Executive Service and from her position as the Director of the Department of the Navy’s Office of Small Business Programs. Emily shares the complicated emotional and physical obstacles of that day, how she was able to rise to the occasion, and how she moved onward.
