Don’t Rob Peter Just to Pay Paul —

2 Peter 3:14-18

Both Peter and Paul fully agreed that ...

I. Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the

Living God.

II. Salvation was by grace through faith

in Christ, both for the Jews and the

Gentiles.

III. We must be born again and receive

the Holy Spirit.

IV. Jesus will return literally and bodily to

the earth at the end of the age.

Two Differences

I. Peter primarily was called as an

Apostle to the Jews and Paul as an

Apostle to the Gentiles.

[Galatians 2:7-10]

II. Paul confronted Peter and rebuked

him publicly for his hypocrisy toward

the Gentiles. [Galatians 2:11-14]

As We Go ...

We must be willing to stand for the truth and strive to please Jesus above all else without losing the love for one another that covers a multitude of sins.
