Don’t Stand So Close to Me (Seriously, Please): The Enneagram Type Five

Listen Later

This week on The Marvelous Middle Age Podcast I’m joined by Tracy Gallagher, an Enneagram Type Five.

Tracy was born and raised in the West Coast of Ireland, and spent her 20's and early 30's living in Dublin, London, Brisbane Australia, Sydney Australia, travelling Thailand, Bali, Fiji and across Europe. From a very young age her best friend was her library of books.

Currently she works in the corporate world between large Pharma companies and cutting edge Tech companies. She is a mum to the most wonderful boy who is super chatty and so full of love, hugs and energy. She is a knowledge seeker and the draw of the Enneagram and diving deep has been the most satisfying, eye opening gift where she finally feels she has found her place.

In today’s episode, we talk about the Core Motivations for an Enneagram Five.  Enneagram Fives are the Investigative Thinkers and they want to be capable and competent.  Fives have an internal battery that they need to recharge frequently.

We also discuss the stress and growth paths of an Enneagram Five. In growth, Fives move towards the healthy type Eight and in stress Fives move towards an unhealthy type Seven. Tracy shares how both of these paths show up for her.

I recently completed my Enneagram Coaching certification and would love to work with you!
