The obsession with being called strong can at first sound like a compliment but in the long run it actually can be damaging. As a reformed ' strong' black woman - I am sharing this to reveal the traps in this descriptor and the loneliness it brings forth for those who are trapped by it. There are other ways to celebrate resilience without leaving anyone in the cold...
