#027. Christina Muñoz is the co-owner and co-founder of Munoz Pugh, a strategic marketing and communications firm. Before starting her own company, she was the Associate Vice President of Communications, Public Relations, and Marketing for the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to joining UCA, Christina spent 9 years as evening newscast anchor for KATV Channel 7 in Little Rock Arkansas.  Christina and her husband Dave have two daughters.

Her passion for quality storytelling has brought her back to the news world as she has recently launched the Natural State Update, a digital news platform offering relevant information that impacts Arkansans by former journalists who are still passionate about informing the public. 

Christina’s mom, Lelia, who is originally from Chile, still lives in Christina’s hometown of Yankton, SD as do her two sisters. Although only 72-years-old, Lelia has severe Alzheimer’s and no longer knows who Christina is. While the Alzheimer’s journey has been incredibly difficult, it is her faith and hope in Christ that gets her through.
