#017.  A change of location for us this morning, but not without drama of course. In between the blowing of the nose, the sun blinding us and the giggles I share a new incident that effected us both deeply in the moment. And though she doesn't remember it I attempt to explain it without upsetting her to give you all a glimpse of how Alzheimer's can present itself if even for a brief time.

"The term "sundowning" refers to a state of confusion occurring in the late afternoon and spanning into the night. Sundowning can cause a variety of behaviors, such as confusion, anxiety, aggression or ignoring directions. Sundowning can also lead to pacing or wandering."
