Doreen Sumerlin served as the District Wildlife Biologist for the Sulphur Ranger District in Granby and the Clear Creek Ranger District, based in Idaho Springs.
In 2019, Sumerlin was awarded
the distinguished Jack Adams Award. The award is presented annually to a Forest Service wildlife biologist, fisheries biologist, or botanist, who, over the course of their career, has exemplified the characteristics and qualities of former Forest Service wildlife biologist Jack Adams – dedication, hard work, and continuous dependable service.
